24|7 Home Rescue made one lucky lady’s Valentine’s Day extra special this year, thanks to our most recent social media competition.
The competition was launched at the beginning of February across the company’s social media channels. Entrants were asked to describe their ideal night in using the hashtag #247DoesTheDishes. The competition received an impressive 1500 entries from up and down the UK – all eager to be in with a chance to be in with winning a state-of-the-art Kenwood dishwasher.
The overall winner was 19-year old Kaya Corbridge from Colne. The judges loved her idea of a perfect night in:
“Me and my partner Leon love to dance so our perfect V-Day night in would be to transform the living room into our own dance hall/dance party. Get the disco ball out and a playlist of our favourite songs! We also LOVE pizza so mid-way through the party, we’d get a huge 16” margarita pizza. “
The judging panel were impressed with her original and creative idea of a night in so awarded her the winning prize of a Kenwood dishwasher along with £10 M&S voucher to spend on a romantic meal for the couple.
Listen to the moment 24|7 Home Rescue contacted Kaya to give her the good news:
Once the details had been finalised, the 24|7 Home Rescue team loaded up the van and travelled to Kaya’s home to deliver the prize.
Upon receiving the prize, she said: ” I’m delighted to have won the 24|7 Does The Dishes Valentine’s competition. There were so many entries, so I didn’t think I’d win in a million years. When 24|7 Home Rescue first contacted me, I thought it was a joke. This is the biggest thing I’ve ever won in my life and it definitely makes Valentine’s a lot better not having to worry about all that washing up… It means I can dance the night away without a care in the world!”
